Monica Roesner

Graphic Designer // Student

I am a born and raised Coloradoan and I’ve always had a passion for beauty. While my heart remains with the mountains, I am currently in Kansas City pursuing my passion for graphic design.

From a young age all forms of art wooed me, but I originally “fell” for graphic design back in high school. After joining the school newspaper staff on a whim I discovered that creating something other’s enjoy is where my true passions laid.

I just recently graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and during my attendance I better developed my concepting, typography, and layout skills, as well as gained skills in user experience, interaction & spatial design.

I have been able to put these skills to work at my multiple internships. I’m currently at Dimensional Innovations, and previously have been at international advertising agency VML’s headquarters, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City Art Institute and Foot Traffic.

I look forward to always continue learning, growing my skills as a designer, and seeing where the bright future of design goes.

When I’m not designing you’ll find me knitting, reading about science/technology, or trying my hand at gardening off of my apartment balcony.
